MAP seminar at the MAC Belfast: Multiplex Urban Space:

The seminar will present the findings of two volumes focusing on Sarajevo which scrutinise Sarajevo’s urban space from a diversity of standpoints combining approaches inspired by architecture, urbanism, literature, art, anthropology, history, philosophy, social sciences and politics.

The specificity of the multiplex approach is that, contrary to a transversal approach that often just series various approaches, it attempts to simultaneously include various perspectives and narratives.

The presentation will notably mention the works of the Bosnian writer Semezdin Mehmedinović’s, analyse a series of graffiti and mural as well of art works, and, last but not least, Anri Sala’s and Šejla Kamerić’s film « 1395 Days Without Red » (2011).
